Assistance Available at HFS

- Vouchers
may be provided for eligible applicants to redeem for dairy products, baby food/formula, diapers, emergency clothing & household items, and birthday bags.

- Grants are provided for eligible applicants to assist with some expenses including housing, utilities, automobile related, gas to get to school, work or medical appointments & prescriptions.

All grants require a client to speak with an emergency service worker to determine eligibility for a grant. Grants do require a demonstrated emergency need for the assistance and that the situation has been resolved if grant is approved.  Please call Hastings Family Service to speak with a worker prior to scheduling an appointment.

*If you have called HFS and are eligible for a grant, you may print & fill out the following application to bring with you to your appointment:

1) Emergency Grant Application
2) Emergency Grant Release Form

Both documents can be located on our FORMS page
