Holiday Assistance provides: Food, clothing, gifts, and toys to those in need for the holidays. HFS acts as a "clearing house" to organize many volunteer efforts by local businesses, churches, schools, and organizations.

Holiday Assistance applications must be filled out in person at:

Required paperwork includes:
- A piece of mail postmarked in the past two weeks for each adult in the household.
- A photo Id for the adult in the household who is signing up.
- A written wish list with 3-5 items listed for each family member including sizes, color and other specifics. There is a $25 limit per item requested.
- All school age children require a school record such as a report card, print out from Schoolview, or a recent piece of mail from the child’s school showing enrollment and/or residency in school district #200.
- A birth certificate or social security card is required for children not in school.
- An Income and Expense worksheet documenting all household income and expenses
or bring all information needed to document all household expenses (i.e. employment gross income, social security, child support, rent, utilities, cell and land line, cable, insurance, child support, medical, loans, cigarettes, alcohol, overdrafts, court fines, extra expenses, etc.) and the paperwork can be filled out here.
