The Just Friends program is designed to maintain the dignity and enhance the quality of life for those who have needs beyond their physical capabilities because of illness, age, disability, or life circumstances.

What do Just Friends Volunteers do?

Provide Transportation

• to the doctor and/or dentist appointments
• to specialized appointments out of town
• to social service appointments out of town for those who need to fill out applications for food support, medical assistance, etc.

Provide a Care Connection

• daily/weekly phone call support to individuals who may have no relatives or close friends in the area and need someone to visit with them from time to time.

Provide Friendly Visitors

• one-on-one support and relationship building (these visit are made at the client's home).

Provide other services such as

• spring or fall yard work
• grocery shopping assistance.
